A kind note from my sister this morning advised me to blog more.
Being afraid of the Facebook over posting syndrome (you know the issue – those who share their Starbucks purchases and gym runs) I had decided to blog only occasionally.
So here goes with more description and more frequent postings……. You too can click the unlike or unsubscribe button if you deem to be over shared!
Often I feel I go to some distant region of the world to be reminded of who I really am… Stripped of your ordinary surroundings, your friends, your daily routines, your refrigerator full of your food, your closet full of your clothes, you are forced into direct experience. We did a test run on packing. Everything is laid out and ready to assemble. Anxious? Crazy excited? Anal? My clothes weighed 7.6 pounds wrapped up in their little Packit Folder thingy from Eagle Creek!! Not bad. Also packing toiletries, shoes (we’re both wearing our Dansko clogs and packing ultra light weight Nike Celso Flip Flops and 7 oz. Merrell Barefoot Access sneakers) and down pillows (we don’t leave home without them – an essential creature comfort from home). Total packing weight goal – 15 pounds.
Day three trying to figure out how to use WordPress to create our travel blog. For someone who is a visual learner I have found it quite difficult learning how to design a blog from scratch by reading pages and pages of hidden “how to” know hows. Of course you get what you pay for and there is no tech support telephone number only a series of “self-help” menus that take you deeper than the Titanic, click until you forgot what you were originally looking for, tech support. UGH…
