Starting out

We started out the first leg of our trip on a SW Airlines Honor flight carrying 30 WWII veterans to Baltimore. A fire truck water salute greeted us upon arrival. The vets will be honored in DC this week. An honor indeed.

The kids joined us in Virginia for several days of Hellman/Hobgood wedding festivities – fun times were had by all.

Arrived in Dulles last night to find our passports safely delivered to the hotel with all our visas in check. Nothing like pushing our luck right down to the final hour.

In the Emirates lounge waiting for our flight. Yippie!!!! 13 hours and 5 minutes…

With 1400 entertainment channels on the flight – taking 3 seconds to scroll each channel – we can occupy 70 minutes of flight time.

See you in Dubai…

Thought I published this 15 hours ago in the States but failed to do so. In Dubai now. Waiting for our hotel room.

About Bill and Paige

Years ago we were bitten by the Wanderlust bug and the result was a serious case of “we gotta get out of here” syndrome. Pressed for time to see the world – we want to live it, breathe it, feel it and give back! So… we’re on the move!

Looks like you are off to a great start!!!! Remembering how long those flights were when we traveled. No way getting around them. Looking forward to your next ZigZagging Blog 🙂 Love and Hugs Kim
