Pottery

Happy New Year and it’s a new year indeed.

Thanks again for indulging me with last year’s Photo of the Day. It gave me the opportunity to really practice my craft.

In the meantime, there are private lessons with the Michelangelo of pottery. A true master in his artistry.

It’s just for fun – love the art of creating and getting my hands dirty.

Meet my instructor Kris – owner of Fire and Earth Pottery here in Charleston.

He makes mind blowing and mesmerizing videos of his work.

About Paige Shaw

Bitten by the wanderlust bug years ago - I have become an eyewitness to and documenter of the world’s divergent cultures (92 countries and counting). Photographing vistas that take my breath away, extraordinary architecture and connecting with everyday people doing everyday things. I am constantly reminded that a smile is the same in any language, that making a connection with something so simple is beautiful. Watching my photography transform from using a point and shoot in the old days to the new love of my life - the incredible Sony a7rii mirrorless camera - has inspired me to do more, take chances and seek out the unknown. I’m also a wife, mother, yogi, pilgrim, burner, skier, scuba diver and gypsy. “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” ― Pablo Picasso

The Brewery Arts Center in Carson has classes every month. Plus this just opened up. I don’t know anything about them: Ogres-Holm Pottery – also in Carson
