Day 177Balancing Act.

Literally and/or figuratively…

bal·anc·ing act  noun  1. an action or activity that requires a delicate balance between different situations or requirements.
Yesterday we lost power to our house lasting 24 hours – no way to get the car out of the garage – no internet – no photo of the day – no big deal.  Last night – 90 degrees – high humidity – no wind, no fans, no escape.
Today, in hindsight it all seems insignificant, petty and selfish.
A mental balancing act.

Day 169Today I can’t help myself.  I decided on 3 images in order to frame the main photo.

Day 169 - 2Walking to the Mallick Ghat Flower Market in Kolkata we passed an itty bitty tea shop – ground level with an opening about 2 foot tall by 3 foot wide – harboring the cutest shop keeper in the world.  Surrounded by terracotta tea cups – squatting to fit – beaming from ear to ear.

Day 169 - 3“What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure; but scattered along life’s pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.”

― Joseph Addison
